Facial Reflexology & Japanese Cosmo Face Lifting bookings are now open again! 🤩
While promoting profound relaxation, facial reflexology helps tone the facial muscles, minimise fine lines and wrinkles and gives a luminous glow ✨ Just like Foot Reflexology, it works on all levels of our being: physical, emotionally and energetic levels Facial reflexology is like a gym workout or yoga for the face It is surprisingly rejuvenating and gives you the feeling of pampering 💖 Bookings are now available! ☺️ Look forward to welcoming you back soon! 💝 #reflexology #naturaltherapies #selfcare COVID-19 is transmitted through droplets, and those micro-droplets can be generated by breathing or talking and become airborne by floating in the air and drifting. It can be potentially infectious by inhaling them , hence we have decided to use some PPE for precautional measures. 😷
The risk of infection through micro-droplets are greater in a closed space or poor ventilation, therefore increasing air circulations by opening windows is believed to be effective and decrease the risk of infection. Professor Morawska, QUT International Laboratory for Air Quality and Health director says additional precautions to PPE, and washing hands, it’s recommended to have “better ventilation indoor public places to remove the virus carrying particles to the outside” At our clinic, in order to avoid stagnation of the airflow, each appointment is well spaced out with minimum of 30 minutes in between, and the window will be open while cleaning the room to create the airflow. While in treatment, antimicrobial/antiviral essential oils will be vaporised gently to maintain the air quality. 🌿 Our health and safety come before everything. It is really important to be mindful that we are not out of the woods yet and must not risk a second wave of infection. 🙏 We would love to create safe space for our clients on all levels so that you would be floating on air when you are going home :) image: pixabay, thank you There have been many discussions amongst practitioners about using PPE or not, and if yes, what sort. Some practitioners might have a very relaxed approach as infection control is something we always do anyhow. Whereas we would like to take extra mindful precautions to be able to ensure our health & safety, especially as we have clients in the vulnerable group. 💝
As we are re-opening, we had to develop new COVID-19 specific policies and protocols in accordance with guidelines of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Queensland Health, and industrial associations both in Australia and around the globe. 🧐Perhaps if you watch this experimental research video, you might appreciate why we have decided to use some PPE. 😷 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2azcn7MqOU We will also practice social distancing wherever possible. (very hard for those of us who are huggers though! 😢) Complying with the policies and protocols we set out for, and providing disposable PPE for both practitioner and clients raises cost per treatment considerably, however we would rather be safe and be ‘laughed at’ now than be sorry and crying later on… 😉 QLD has done very well during iso. However, It is also really important to keep in our mind that we are not out of the woods yet and must not risk a second wave of infection. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.🙏 We are reopening our clinic equipped with PPE and confidence to welcome you back. ☺️ Image: pixabay Dearest reflexology clients,
Hope you’ve all been staying safe & well. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. As our COVID-19 specific policies and protocols are now ready to be implemented (that were developed in accordance with guidelines of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Queensland Health and industrial associations both in Australia and around the globe), the reopening date is set for Monday 1st June. 🙌 For the time being, only foot reflexology is available due to the COVID-19 specific policies and protocols. We will let you know in due course when facial reflexology and Japanese Cosmo Facelift are available again. Also under the current circumstances, opening hours are reduced for now to be sustainable and ensuring safety.⏰ Bookings have opened yesterday first to our regular clients and those who have made enquiries during iso. The reopening day, the 1st of June is already booked up today, and other days are filling up rather quickly. So if you are thinking of making an appointment, please contact soon on 0434 409 890. 😊 Thank you again so much for your patience and understanding. Looking at responses and bookings, we could feel a great sense of relief that your reflexology treatment is available again. Let’s move through this interesting time together with happy feet and sensible precautions ☺️👣 Look forward to seeing you again soon 🤗 Warmest blessings reiko Dear Clients,
With the recent developments around the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), before coming to your appointment at our clinic, please read this post. 🙏 • Are you currently unwell? if so, please reschedule your appointment for 2 weeks away from now 🤕🤕 • Have you done any travelling in the past month? If so, could you please tell us about the destinations you visited. Have you contacted people who have been in close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19? 🤔 • Please know that practitioners could wear Personal Protective Equipment, ie: gloves and/or face mask for your treatment as precautionary only for the safety of everyone when required. 🧤 Healthcare officials are advising persons who are unwell to wear masks, rather than the healthy, with the exception of medical staff working directly with infected persons. This is at the discretion of individuals, but it is advised if you feel unwell and need to go out in public to wear a protective mask. 😷 We can ensure that at our clinic (although this is nothing new!)… ✨ • Maintaining a high level of personal hygiene, including correct washing of hands before and after each patient contact. 🧼 • Regular cleaning of all clinic surfaces, especially clinic equipment, devices, dispensing area and containers 🧽 • Regular removal of all waste • Appropriate cleaning of reusable clinic equipment, instruments and devices 🧹 • Use of protective clothing where appropriate As our clinic room is equipped with an essential oil vaporizer, antiviral/ antimicrobial essential oils are used for the air quality. 🌿 Please also remember, your personal hygiene routine and protection is very important for public health 😃 • Wash your hands regularly with soap • Cover your mouth when cough and sneeze • Avoid touching your face, nose mouth • Regularly wash surfaces such as door handles, light switches, kitchen and bathroom areas with household detergent or disinfectant • Stay 1.5-2m away from people who are coughing or sneezing • Gargle when you come home • Avoid crowds • Stay at home if feeling unwell Latest information can be checked here: COVID-19 General Information (Updated Daily) - https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert and https://www.facebook.com/QLDHealth/ For any other information, please call the Australian Government's COVID-19 hotline on 1800 020 080. 😃 Finally, usual health tips for your wellbeing... • Have sufficient sleep 😴 • Eat healthy nutritious food 🍎🥦 • Move your body 🚶♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️ • Create quiet time for yourself e.g. meditation, reflection, journaling 😌 • Do something you enjoy 💖💖 • Contact with nature 🌿🌿 ... oh, and of course self-reflexology 😉😉 image: Pixabay References: Queensland Health, Australian National Therapists Association Just recently, we received a negative ‘review’ on our FB page which brought the overall rating down 😢 that the reviewer (who is not our client) described reflexology and reiki are “utter nonsense, fraud, scam” and “con artist”. 😳🤔 Most of you might come to this page because you love modalities such as reflexology, aromatherapy and reiki. However this might be a good opportunity to look into what reflexology is, again.😊
Reflexology (and reiki) are complementary therapies and often employed alongside conventional medicine/treatments. No complementary therapies fit all though, they are generally used to aim for relaxation and balance the body as a whole.😌 There are many wonderful websites to explain and examine about reflexology, it’s effects and benefits. One of the most comprehensive web page for anyone who wish to know more about reflexology might be University of Minnesota’s. 😉😉 As our clinic is in Australia, some of the information there e.g. regulation and qualification are different from those in the US. If you have any questions about regulation and/or qualification for reflexology, we encourage you to contact Reflexology Association of Australia. They can give you detailed information in depth!🤓🤓 Is reflexology evidence-based? The answer might be found in research studies that have been published so far. The list of research on the website is not exhaustive but still shows indications of possible benefits of reflexology. 👣 Reflexology has been backed up with a long history, traditional knowledge and anecdotal evidence. However in this day and age, more ’scientific’ evidence is demanded. It is not limited to Reflexology though, assessing complementary medicine (CAM) within the current framework of population-based controlled clinical trials have many challenges and limitations e.g. assessing perceptible aspects of health such as Qi - vital force/energy, and many CAM modalities has fundamental different views of illness and healing (Hunter & Grant 2005; Tonell & Callanhan, 2002). 💝 Despite the challenges, that also include lack of funds, many researchers around the globe have been tirelessly working so that our patients/clients can be well informed, educated and most importantly for patients’/clients’ benefits and safety.🙏 Just because one may not like some modalities, it does not mean they do not work. We all have different tastes, perceptions and experiences. The important thing is to find the best possible support for you! 💖✨ One thing for sure is that when you are looking for a quality reflexology treatment, please look for practitioners who are qualified in reflexology. Your local reflexology association would be happy to discuss about your concerns and can help you find practitioners in your area. 😃😃 "Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them creates real benefits for the person's health." https://www.takingcharge.csh.umn.edu/reflexology?fbclid=IwAR0Ukms3nFnjsvoTRav6fj9rbKFAkg63ZadzOenN1bhGNCiR5B5gX2edvdg ![]() Recently handmade gemstone bracelets have become available at clinic for assisting your journey and protection.
